As a co-worker of Pauls I only had an opportunity to know Paul for a short time. Paul would drop whatever he was doing to go out of his way to assist me and others if I ever needed anything. His dedication to his work and his family were unsurpassed. He was quick to get a smile out of me by calling me "a gentleman and a scholar" for doing him a simple favor. Paul was a gentleman who will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to Pauls wife and children and the rest of his family.

Paul was a quite man who was never afraid to help out or offer helpful suggestions. I will miss sharing our wood working ideas. I know he will truly be missed by all he has touched.

I am so sorry about your loss. I liked Paul the colleague and Paul the friend. His personality made it so easy to work with him, to talk with him and to laugh with him. I will miss him.

Paul was a very nice person. I enjoyed working with him. He was very calm and well behaved, never loosing his temper. It was easy to work with him. He loved classical music and let me borrow some of his cd's. I recently saw a movie called the station agent and I was gong to tell him about it since he loved trains. Paul was a quite and dignified man who will be missed not just in his department but by anyone who had the pleasure of working with him.

I only knew Paul for one month, yet I never got the chance to see him do anything but smile. I envy those that had a longer time to know him. On March 5th, we were laughing and talking about our children. He told me of the paths his three were taking in their lives. He was very proud of each of them.

While I didn't get the chance to know Paul as much as I would have liked, I do remember his smile and his gracious nod when he would say hello. I can't imagine how he will be missed. This is a passage from Isaiah 41 that helped me get through a loss of someone also taken before his time: "I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

It is safe to say we will all miss Paul dearly. During the past year, I had the oppotunity to work with Paul, who was one of the most intelligent, thoughtful and honest people that I have had the privilege to know. I never hesitated to ask him a question because I knew he would always go out of his way to share his knowledge with me and make sure that I understood. My thoughts and prayers are with Paul, his family and his friends.

Paul and I worked together at Lutheran General Hospital for over 15 years. I am so sad to hear that he is gone. I will greatly miss his quiet humor and serious nature with regard to his work. My trips with him to England and Holland when selecting new equipment now remain dear to my heart. My heartfelt condolences to Annabelle and the kids - as well as the rest of the family...

I had only gotten to know Paul personally and professionally for a short time -- sadly, much too short. He will surely be missed by all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with Paul's family.

Paul and I worked together a little more than a year. I found him to be quite intelligent and dedicated. He wasn't afraid to share what he knew and when he felt he was right, he stubbornly stood his ground. He not only did good work, he was good to work with and I laud him for that.
I have not only lost a co-worker, I have lost a good friend.
