Peter Childs

Peter T. Childs (Tsioutsias), age 85. Beloved husband of Helen C. Childs of 59 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday in the loving embrace of his family. Born in Chicago, IL, devoted son of the late Alex and Zoe Tsioutsias and loving brother of the late Mimi Koukis. Loving father of Joy "Gigi" (George) Iliopoulos, Alex (Cyndi) Childs, and Jamie (Sophia) Childs. Loving and proud Papou of Ashley (Nicholas) Fieromosca, Peter and Nicholas Childs, and Mia and Peter Iliopoulos. Loving uncle and godfather of many, founding member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church coordinating public relations when the church was first built. After years in advertising, he became a real estate professional. In 1981, he created Childs Realty Group of Arlington Hts., IL. As President, he developed, leased, and managed Chicago area shopping centers. Peter was known for his deep love and pride of family, his salesmanship and professionalism. He was a world traveler and a fantastic dancer and will be deeply missed. Visitation Sunday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 1104 Waukegan Rd., Glenview. Family and friends will meet Monday morning at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church 1401 Wagner Rd., Glenview, IL 60025 for funeral service at 10:00am. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sts.
