Phil entered my life when he became the cherished husband of my sister Rita. He was a teddy bear of a man, a champion hugger, but could also be fierce. A listener without equal, he was thoughtful in response. Quick to share a joke or laugh, he was a joy to our large extended family. My now adult children were blessed to become close to him. I know he will be missed by many. Welcome home, good and faithful servant.

Phil Kennedy was a beautiful man and a gifted spiritual guide. God placed him in my life at just the right time when I began my spiritual journey in earnest. I am forever grateful for Phil's wisdom, counsel, and friendship. May you rest in the peace of God's loving embrace, dear friend.

Phil was a very special man and very influential in my faith growth and spiritual journey. As pastor of my church in Morrison, Illinois, I am deeply indebted to many of the things he taught, most especially an adult learning, understanding technique that has served me throughout my life and helped to meet people for who they are, recognizing the goodness of God where it was often not evident. His friendship endured through the years though we spoke seldom. Each time we did, it was if no time had passed.
"At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully as I am fully known."
1 Corinthians 13:12
Praising God that Phil is face to face!
