Phillip was my cousin, his uncle, Bernard Singer was his uncle, I was his cousin David. We lost touch over the decades. I looked him up, and had no idea of his passing. He was a great man and so loved by my father , my mother rose and myself. My deepest condolences to Arlene , whom I never met, and my second cousins. He was a great attorney and judge, had two seats on the commodities exchange. He adored my father, and my father adored his oldest sister, Phil´s Mom. Although we lost touch, I´m thinking fondly of the times I spent with Steven, Stacy and their mother. I regret not staying in touch with my eldest cousin. My love to Arlene and to my second cousins. I´m sure this will not be read at this point, but felt compelled to say something about such an accomplished and beloved man. To his family, I wish nothing but the best. Love always my cousin , David.

Judge Lieb was not only an intellect but man of the people who loved his family as well as the law. He was my mentor when I first started at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck in the early 80´s before he ascended to the bench. A man of many stories wanting to share with others his experiences, wisdom and love of life. Ana and I express our deepest sympathies to his family. We will miss you old friend.

My deepest condolences for Phil's family. I met Judge Lieb after he retired from the bench and then came to volunteer at the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian. I was his "supervisor", which always made me chuckle given his vast experience and knowledge! I enjoyed our regular chats, often about political issues. Even when he no longer volunteered at OPG, he would stop in for regular visits. What a wonderful man, he will be missed.

The deepest condolences from Connie and myself to Phil's widow, children and family. Phil and I worked together for years at Schiller, DuCanto & Fleck and well as being friends and residents of Northbrook. We were both Mac users and enthusiasts and shared technology. So sorry to hear of Phil's passing, he will be missed and his memory will be a blessing.
