Five years have passed since Ray's death. I still think of him often from the old days. High school days and a little beyond. I remember i could walk into a crowded room and if Ray was in it, i could hear him laughing. He was lots of fun and had a very serious side that included compassion for others. I believe Ray is walking the streets of gold with Jesus.

Oh how blessed I am,
To have known such a great man.
Hardworking, loyal, dedicated, tough,
A softness so kind, no amount of time was enough.
Colanders in trees, no cable TV,
Opening his home to little ol' me.
His heart swelled with pride,
With Barb and his kids by his side.
His family were his friends you see,
And friends he also treated as fami-ly.
Respect was a trait he vehemently enforced,
Also a great sense of humour was a must of course.
I too loved this rugged, kind-hearted soul,
He touched my heart that's now left with a hole.
Although I wish I'd seen him more,
His impact on me will last forever I'm sure.

RIP Mr K. Your time here was too short, but your impact was profound.

Condolences to Barb, Nicholas and Anastasia. I'm sending my love. I hope that you'll find peace from some wickedly fantastic, sometimes hilarious, memories that this wonderful man has left you with. May you find strength in this very sad and difficult time.
I've never stopped loving or thinking of you all. xo

I am weeping. I didn't know Ray was battling cancer. Barbara and the entire family, know that I am crying with you. I know that Ray is with our Lord and is free of pain. Our heart hurts because he was such a great guy here on earth. I am very
blessed to have known him. God bless you all with His peace and comfort.

"Mr. K" was a huge influence on me and the many Scouts who came to him for advice. He was kind enough to take the time to counsel but not afraid to give a nudge (or kick) when needed. Today, 20 years later, I still look to my visits with him for advice as I run my own Troop and try to mentor Scouts with the same wisdom. He was one of the people who made a profound impact in my life. God's blessings Mr K on you and your family.
