I just saw the news that Randy died last year of cancer. My heart goes out to the Parton family. Randy will be missed by his many fans. My daughter just fell in love with Randy on her first visit to Dolly Wood when she was just two and a half years old. He asked her to come up on stage with him because she had on a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. He was all she could talk about. So glad I have pictures of them together. RIP Randy.

I am 43 years old and I grew up going to Dollywood every year for vacation. We never missed Randy’s show! My Dad had been going to the Smokey’s since the 60’s with his grandfather. I can remember meeting Randy after his show on many occasions. We also ran into him with his family once at Shonet’s in Pigeon Forge. I have a lot of great memories of those vacations and seeing Randy every year. I am sad that he is gone and I am praying for his family. I lost my Daddy to cancer over 16 years ago but my comfort is that he isn’t suffering anymore I miss him everyday as I know Randy’s family will miss him. My families prayers are with the Parton family.
