Honorable Richard B. Berland, Age 72. Longtime Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Loving husband for 45 years of Susan nee Pecko. Devoted father of Scott (Jamie) Berland, Bobby Berland and his beloved Yellow Lab Macy. Proud Grandfather of Ryan and Casey. Dear brother of Michael (Amy) Berland and James (Roberta) Berland. Fond son in law of Emil J. and the late Florence Pecko. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and the extended Levin family. Service to honor his memory will be Thursday 10AM at Congregation AM Shalom, 840 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe, Illinois. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie. My heartfelt sympathy to the Berland family. Dick Berland was my favorite judge. His father was a dear friend and I can tell you Abel was extremely proud of Dick, as well as being very proud of Jay and Michael. May his memory be a comfort and a blessing.
