Dear McKenna Family - I am so sorry for your loss. I met Richard only a couple of times through his late daughter, Mary McKenna, whom I knew for many years. Sadly, I learned only today about Mary's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hiya Papa,

You were the greatest papa I could've ever asked for. You always made sure you took care of everyone in the family and that everyone was happy. The day you passed away grandma said she felt bad for everyone because we wouldn't have you to be "top gun" of the family anymore and that no one could take your place. And shes right. You were top gun. You were the man in charge and we are all really going to miss that. I'll never forget all the family vacations we went on and all the silly songs you would sing. I'll never forget at my 8th grade graduation how I was the first student to get their diploma and the entire Church was silent and you screamed YAY! and made everyone laugh and I remember I had the biggest smile on my face when you did that. I'm going to miss you more than words can describe because not only were you my papa but you were also like my dad too. I'll always appreciate everything you did for me and I'll make sure to take care of your house and to take care of my car.

I love you Papa.

Dear McKenna Family,
It was with a great sense of loss when we heard of Rich’s death.
We wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our hearts are truly saddened.
Rich was more than just a wonderful person; he was never without a joke and a smile.
And, we know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him.
Rich will always remain within our hearts, and we have included Rich and the McKenna family in our prayers. May God give you strength.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
With our deepest sympathy,
