Robert Barton Obituary
Robert Derek Barton, 94, of Mt. Prospect. Preceded in death by his wife Jane Gilmore Blythe, father Frank Barton, and mother and step father, Kathryn Black Barton and David Glass, and sister Jean Barton Parker. Survived by his children James (Sharon) Barton, Ellen (Michael) Lavigne, Emily (Michael) Carroll, Margaret (Edward) Canary and 11 grandchildren. Memorial Services 1:00 PM Saturday, September 6, at First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Presbyterian Church. He served his country during WW II in the Philippines. He was a POW from May 6, 1942 until August 20, 1945.
