Robert A. Bembenek, Korean War Army Veteran, age 77, Aug. 9, 2009, formerly of Back of the Yards and Midway neighborhoods, retired to Tucson, AZ after 33 years with Johnson & Johnson. He leaves, for now, to cherish his memory his beloved wife Anne, nee Kalec; devoted sons Robert Jr. and Michael (Laura); along with his precious grandchildren Alexandra, Kaleb,
Daniel and Ethan; mourning also are his loving sister Rose (the late Daniel); brothers Dennis (Kay), Fred (Nancy); and sisters-in-law Lucy (Herb) Tomchak and Alma
(Andrew) Legac. A slew of adoring nieces and nephews will greatly miss their "Uncle Pinchy." This family can only imagine the happy homecoming Bob is enjoying with those who went before him - his parents George and Mary; his brothers George
(Helen) and Richard (the late Leona); his sisters LaVerne (the late Harry) Mazer,
Dolores (the late John) Bush and Vivian (James) Mueller; along with his brother-in-law and army-mate Dan Sobczak. Dear Bob, Uncle Bobby, CueBall-your stories will live on forever... "Oh, yeah?" Services were private. The family will gather in the near future to memorialize and honor this very special husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle. We would appreciate your thoughts.

Bobby and Mike,
I will always remember your dad's stories and his his laugh. He was the life of the party and I always loved hearing stories from my mom about all of her brothers and sisters growing up. Your dad enjoyed a great life and he will be missed.
