Robert E. Brackus, age 80, of Schaumburg, formerly of Palatine, husband of Mary Ann, nee O'Connor; father of Michael J. Brackus, Robert P. (the late Nancy) Brackus, Lisa Janowski and Kerry J. Brackus; grandfather of Michael, Stephen, Mary Katherine and Eric; great-grandfather of four; brother of Mildred "Sisy" Audrain, Phyllis (Stanley) Mikol, Patricia Brackus and the late Richard Brackus; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Retired from RCA Service Company after 30 years of service. Visitation Friday 3 to 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Saturday 9:30 a.m. to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine. mass 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside. Memorials to charity of choice. 847-358-7411.
