I feel bad I´ve waited so long to make this entry. I met Bob through work, but he ended up being a great friend for many years. Bob had a quick sense of humor and was a huge sports fan. We shared many interests and there was no one better to have a few beers with. I miss talking with Bob and his spirited company. Bob has left me with some great memories and fun stories. He certainly was one of a kind. My best goes out to his daughter Nicole and her mom. I hope both are doing well. Rest in peace Bob.

Bob was more than a friend; he was part of our family. We thought of him all the time. I’ll miss his afternoon weekly phone calls just to say hello, to call me Castro (I was to liberal for Bob) or to tell me about some Tribune article he read about on food allergies for his godson or something to do with Healthcare for Michael. He seemed to always call while I was making lunch or dinner – meals will never be the same, as New Years Eve. We spent many New Years Eve’s together – Bob was our party. This year, he drove to Wisconsin and Michael, Noah, Jonah, Jacob and Adam had the best time ever with him. They played jokes on him and he did the same to all 5 of them. The boys laughed and hung out with him most of the evening. We had a great time – there wasn’t a moment I didn’t see a smile on Bob’s face. We are all so grateful that we had the opportunity to spend that time with him. Michael will miss the friend he always talked to, the friend that would come over often. We love you Nicki, you are part of our family and we miss your dad. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you always.
Love, Maddie

Bobby will be missed. He was a wonderful person and a dear friend for over 20 years. My heart breaks for Nicki as losing a parent is one of the hardest things to have to endure. Bobby lived for his daughter and loved her more then anything in his whole life. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and forever.
