Robert Devine Obituary
Robert J. Devine, age 72, late of Valparaiso, passed away on June 11, 2008. His love for the game of baseball was only exceeded by his love for family and friends, and his generous spirit not only touched the lives of many but will be remembered and cherished forever. He was the beloved husband and best friend for 50 years of the late
Sandra J., nee Barto; devoted father of Lisa and Tracy (fiance, Douglas Piwinski); loving son of the late Robert and Eleanor Devine; dear brother of Betty Reed and Roberta O'Brien; fond son-in-law of Garcia and the late Ken Barto; dear brother-in-law of
Jackie (Dr. Larry) Patton and uncle to their children, Scott, Eric and Nicole Gibson; kind uncle of many nieces and nephews, including Bill (Karen) O' Brien. Private interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), Orland Park. 708-460-2300.

Dear Lisa and Tracy:
You must know we are sorry for your loss. It's been a tough couple of years. We've been close friends for over 40 years. We shared our anniversaries, birthdays, and our children's successes together....AND don't forget all that good food!! Our memories are many and wonderful. How lucky we've been to have such caring friends. Your parents were special people. We too will feel a void.
