ROBERT W. HOWARD

Robert W. "Bob" Howard, age 79, a resident of Downers Grove, IL since 1967, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at his home. He was born October 27, 1929 in Chicago. Bob is survived by his wife, Lois M., nee Jespersen, Howard of Downers Grove, whom he married June 27, 1958; three children, Jeff Howard of Villa Park, IL, Sue Holzkopf of Batavia, IL and Mark Howard of Clarendon Hills, IL; four grandchildren, Kate and Will Holzkopf and Natalie and Warren Howard; and a sister, Judy Gillen of San Jose, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marian, nee Warren, Howard and a brother, Richard Howard. Bob grew up in Chicago, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton and Evanston and was a 1947 graduate of Evanston Township High School. He went on to graduate from Northwestern University, Evanston with a B.A. in political science and later served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan, during the Korean War. Bob owned and operated Professional Management Associates, Oak Brook, IL for many years. Services were private. Future inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
