Ronald Joseph Cate, 64, of Galena, IL., passed away Aug. 31, 2007, at his home. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at the Furlong FuneralChapel, 100 Carol-don Court, Galena, IL, where a scripture wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Galena, and burial will be in the church cemetery, where military honors will be accorded at graveside. Ron is survived by his wife, Mary F. Cate; two children, Mary Patricia Lightheart (Patrick) of Fridley, MN, and Joseph Mason Cate (Lisa) of Bolingbrook, IL.
