Rose "Babe" Ostrof, nee Cohen, age 87, of Northbrook, beloved wife for 63 years of Daniel; loving mother of Paul (Sybil Stork), Adriane (Ronald) Kaplan and Marc; adored and treasured Nana of Alissa; treasured sister of Bess (the late Harold) Rubin, Seymour (Evelyn) Cohen and the late Gert (the late Sol) Palles and Lillian (the late Nate) Satter; special aunt and great-aunt of many. Service Thursday, 12 noon at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 blk. N. of Lake Cook Rd.). Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Dear Dan and Family. Babe was a dear friend of Ruthies for many years. I know you will miss her as much as I miss Ruthie. It will be very hard to take for a long time, but as time passes your hurt will gradually diminish.

Dear Mr. Ostroff(Danny) and Babe's children:
Babe was my mom's best friend. She loved her and she loved your dad (and so did my dad love both of them). She was a wonderful, kind, loving, and giving individual and a wonderful friend to all whom she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathies to everyone. Having lost my mom just a year ago, I know the feeling of that kind of loss. May her memory be kept in your minds and your hearts.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Ostrof was a top-notch, wonderful, lovely person. She was always very kind and I will never forget her. Having lost my mom, I know the sorrow. My deepest sympathy to you all.
