Russell Arthur Larson, Jr., 88, of Northfield. Born October 15, 1930 in Chicago to Russell A. Larson, Sr. and Mabel Larson nee Lindgren. Passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 62 years of Marilyn Lee Larson nee James; loving father of Kathryn (Thomas) Conway, Sharon Larson, and the late David Larson; cherished grandfather of Jessica, Daniel, Megan & Kevin Conway, Emily & Amy Claps; dear brother of Carol (Bruce) Calhoun and the late Richard Larson. Russell was a 1948 graduate of New Trier High School, a veteran of four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War, and a 1956 graduate of Northwestern University. Visitation Monday, October 22, 2018 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass,10:00 a.m. at Saint Philip the Apostle in Divine Mercy Parish, 1962 Old Willow Road, Northfield, IL 60093. We remember Russ fondly and enjoyed his presence at the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena watching North Western compete.
Vacationing with him and Marilyn in Oahu awhile ago and trult having some great times together.
Our sincere Condolences to his wife' Family and Friends.
May he rest in Peace and perpetual light shine upon him.
May the Angels welcome him into Paradise.

Dearest Sharon, Kathy, Emily, Amy & your ENTIRE family,
My deepest condolences for the loss of your precious father. What a remarkable Husband, Father, Grandfather, Korean War Hero & spectacular human being!!
Although he shall be sorely missed, may you find comfort in knowing that he is now in heaven with David and watching over you now and forever until you reunite once and for all. What a TREMENDOUS gift he gave & taught you - the gift of faith, praise God!! He will be cherished always!!!! Amen.
