I worked with Ruth at the Health Department. My Christmas card was returned, I was concerned. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss Ruth very much. I haven't seen her for over 10 years, but I so enjoyed hearing from her. Both she and Don were so good and helpful to me when I was working with her. She had a smile on her face and great laugh. Your dad also had a smile! I am so thankful to have known both of them. I moved to Texas in 2007

Thoughts and prayers are with the family. We always enjoyed visiting with Ruth when she would attend the Koester family reunions with Father Ben. We also enjoy a piece of chocolate with our wine. We watched the service online, and it was very nice.

Dear Dennis , Mary , and Kathy; So many great memories with your Mom at the helm. So was one of the most caring people in my childhood. You were so lucky to have her in your lives all these years. She is still watching over and taking care of you all . Prayers and hugs, so sad!!

I always loved the visits with Don and Ruth as a child, when they visited the Effingham/Teutopolis area. Don always made us laugh and Ruth was always the sweetest. I am very blessed to be related to Ruth and Fr. Ben. My mom and I were happy to have visited with Ruth in her home April 2019. She seemed, to us, to be the same sweet Ruth.
