To Steve's Family,
Steve was a kind and considerate man who passed too young. I knew him as my Principal at Marshall. He was always concerned about the students and a friend to me.

My deepest condolences to Steve's family. I had the fortunate opportunity to have Steve as my friend and landlord. I've not known another person so dedicated to bettering his neighborhood and community.

Mr. Newton was a great principal who helped me during my early years at Farragut. He truly loved the students and went out of his way to help and protect them.

My wife Judy and I would like to express our sincere condolances to Steve's Family and Janet. We got to know Steve through Judy's friend Janet. For the past 38 years I have come to know Steve as a loyal friend and a great source of encouragement. Judy & I will treasure the times of fellowship and sharing of good times & times of trials. The last time I saw Steve was at our daughter's wedding. I shared that I was nervous about giving a toast. Steve said, "hey your just having a conversation with some friends." That settled me down a gave me the confidence I needed. We have prayed for many years for Steve to recover from his illness and I was both shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Our prayers now go out to his family, his daughter and dear friends.

Mr. Newton was a terrific principal. I worked with him at Farragut and learned a lot under his leadership. I'm so sorry for your loss.
