Susan Leader

June 26, 1957-March, 2021

Friends and family are mourning the sudden loss of Susan Leader. Sue recently moved home to the Chicago area from Punta Gorda, FL. Her childhood was spent in Sauganash where she made many good and lifelong friends. She attended Queen of All Saints Elementary School – Class of 1971. She attended Regina "Dominican" High School in Wilmette, Marist College and Fordham University. Sue was a social worker and devoted her adult life to helping others.

She is remembered for her impish smile, beauty inside and out, kindness and generosity.

She is predeceased by her parents David and Marion and leaves behind brother David Leader (Marylin), nieces and nephews Jason, Laura and Grace, her stepbrother Jesse Yale, cousins Christian, Steven and David Otis, Steven, Sydney and Mark Leader and numerous pals from her Sauganash days.

Services some time in June 2021. In lieu of flowers why not check in on an old friend, bring a treat to your neighbor, perform an anonymous random act of kindness or donate to one of her favorite organizations Doctors Without Borders. Also Sue loved her dogs and would have appreciated donations to a local Animal Shelter.

My deepest sympathy for this loss. I got to talk to Sue at our reunion and I'm so thankful for that. She will be missed greatly. So many memories from our QAS days.

My prayers go to her family. It was wonderful to be able to catch up with Sue at our QAS reunion in September, 2019. She will be greatly missed.

My prayers and condolences to all of the Leader family. In true spirit to Susan's life and memory, I see that two of my Childhood friends are mentioned, Sydney and Mark. I hope they are healthy and happy. I would love to see them, only to say, I have never forgotten our friendship. Peace to everyone.
