Ted Roubas, retired CPD, age 80, of Hamphire, passed away, June 4, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen, nee Neises; loving son of the late Constance Maimonis; dearest nephew, cousin and friend of many. Avid pilot and 25-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Devoted fan of all Chicago sports teams, especially the Cubs. Visitation Wednesday, June 9th, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Winona St., Chicago, 60625. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Iconography Fund or Brotherhood For The Fallen, 5830 S. Ted was so kind to Mitch and Dr. Ackley from the time they met until both passed away. We often heard Ted stories since they shared interests in flying, travel, and baseball and enjoyed good conversation over dinners. We were all sorry to hear of his passing, but he will remembered for his humor, his kindness to our parents, and his service with the CPD. Condolences.
