Teddy was one of my mom's favorite cousins, and my sister Harriet and I would always enjoy him at Elbert family occasions. When he came to my wedding on June 3, 1967, he greeted me at the reception with his characteristic smile and said, "Why, you've grown into such a beautiful woman!" I've never forgotten that remark. It seemed genuine and made me feel so good about myself. I suspect he did the same for a lot of people in his life. My condolences to his children.

His infectious laugh will be with me forever. He brought such joy to our family get-togethers. He was truly one of a kind. Rest in peace, Teddy.
P.S. Ted was one of my mom's favorites (Paula Elbert). Now they're together again....perfect!
