Theodore Marion Lach, II. passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13th. He had a Bachelors and Masters degree in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Masters degree in Material Science from Northwestern University. He worked in telecommunications and was a long time employee of Lucent Technologies and Bell Labs. In his professional life, he was recognized for his expertise in reliability and earned the honorary title of Bell Labs Fellow. He was an active member of the American Physical Society and authored The Checkerboard Theory of the Nucleus which can be found at checkerboard.dnsalias.net
. He was a beloved husband of the late Gillian nee Denson. Loving father of Jennifer Lach, Theodore III ( Arla) Lach, Erica (Kristopher) Beall, and Elizabeth Lach. Dearest grandfather of Emily, Carson, Lily and Violet. Loving son of Florence, nee Wall and the late Theodore Marion Lach and Thaddeus B. Gasior. Fond brother of Thomas (Serafina) Gasior, Terrence (Donna) Gasior, Tobias (Alicia) Gasior, Tracey (Mary Ann) Gasior and the late Timothy Gasior. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
