Thomas P. Fitzgibbon Jr., beloved husband of Dianne, nee Wise; loving son of Thomas P. (Yvonne) and Margaret (John) Payne; dearest brother of Elizabeth Farley, Timothy (Lisa), Robert and the late John; dear uncle of John Patrick and Carolyn; fond son-in-law of Elaine Cavanaugh and the late Ronald Wise. Funeral Saturday 9 a.m. from Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge to Immaculate Conception Church, Harlem & Talcott. Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60018. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m.

My deepest sympathy to the Fitzgibbon Family. I was shocked to here of Tom's death. I worked for him back in NY and he was a gentleman to work for. Words can't describe the type of man he was, I will miss him dearly.

It has been many, many years since I've seen Tommy, but my daughters and I can still see his smile, hear his laughter, and enjoy his great sense of humor as a young man. An and I are devastated by everything that's happened, but we've also taken alot of solace and strength from the selfless good cheer and humor with which Tommy approached so many things. He was a great guy, with a wonderfully straightforward approach to life that we'll never forget; we loved him very much.

My prayers are with Tom and the entire Fitzgibbon famiiy at this time. Tom was and is a classy, intelligent and caring guy who is loved and missed by his friends and family at this time. I am confident there is a special place in heaven for Tom, and that he will be joined by wonderful friends and family who have gone before him. I know, personally, that while I enjoy my life here on earth, I will look forward to seeing him again in heaven to share the times we missed.

Tom was a class act. I knew him for many years and he was an intelligent and caring man. He had a cheerful way about him that effected you immediately when he was in the room.

Tom and I palled around when we were kids as cousins often do; As we grew older we went separate ways with our own families as adults often do; But he will always be remembered in our hearts as dear and special family members often are!
