Father Thomas I. Healy, 94, of Chicago, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel rectory January 15, 2021. Faithful priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago for 68 years. Served as pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish from 1976 to 2001. Beloved son of the late Thomas I. and May (Brady) Healy; loyal brother of the late Eileen (Ted Migala) and Maryfrances (John Carroll); dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Lying in state Wed. Jan. 20, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:45 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 708 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL 60657. Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Pre-registration for Mass is required by phone 773-525-0453. Interment at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Condolences and memorial contributions may be sent to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

God bless Fr. Healy. I taught Liturgical Music at Mt. Carmel Academy. Fr. Healy was always a good spiritual example to the children. He lived this part of the gospel..."Let the children come to me."

Fr. Healy tirelessly served on the front lines during the AIDS pandemic. I was privileged to work with him on 371, the AIDS hospice unit at Illinois Masonic.
