Dear Minnick Family, Here it is January 2021 and I am just hearing of Tom's passing. I am so sorry to hear this. I knew Tom through my cousins, the Gamboneys. Many years ago, I first met Tom and we connected because I also graduated from St. Pat's High School. I did not see too much of Tom, but always enjoyed our conversations and his humor. Here's to my fellow Shamrock, may he rest in peace.

Tom saved the day when he opened my school combination lock as the clock was ticking toward our first high school class. He later set the lunchroom table into fits of laughter with "The Singing Telegram" joke. On the Austin bus northward for the west siders, Tom ruled on the history of the Crusades. After high school, we reconnected at a late 70s reunion and would share many a manly pint through the '80s as the Good Old Boys would convene at northwest side pubs and even for an occasional, riotous brunch or two. Tom was famed for his wit, geniality and generosity. That a such a grand man has left before that next reunion I will always regret. God Bless, Tom

When you look up the definition of “gentleman” in the dictionary, there should be a picture of Tom. He was a kind, generous, and VERY funny man. He was a true friend to my dad and like an uncle to me, my siblings and cousins. I will miss him! All our love to Tom’s family and Terri.

My heart is broken, Tom was a bright spot in the universe, a dear and treasured friend. His easy laugh is greatly missed. I hope you find consolation in the love that he had for you

My heart goes out to Terri, Tom's sister, and their families for this profound loss. Tom was the best friend anyone could hope to have--and truly one of the finest individuals I have ever known. This world was a better place with him in it, and is irreparably diminished without him. There will never be another like him. I -- and so many others-- will miss him greatly, for if he was your friend you really had a rare and priceless gift. One of the smartest, kindest, funniest people I have ever known. I was so fortunate to have been his friend for almost twenty years, but still, not long enough. The conversation wasn't over. To Terri, Tom's sister, and the Tegtman and Minnick families, my most sincere condolences for this heartbreaking loss of your wonderful Tom. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us.

Our sincere condolences to Terri, her family, and all of the Minnick family.
We have known Tom for sixty years. He was a complete joy to be around. Through the years Tom and our great group from the West Side had many memorable outings and happy occasions to be together. Tom was remarkable for his calm demeanor, sense of humor (and laughter), and his genuine interest in his friends and their families. He was the real deal - a consumate gentleman, scholar, world traveler, volunteer for the vets, and most importantly a ver good guy!
He will be missed, but never forgotten,

I first met Tom in law school, and we continued as friends. He was a very compassionate person. Never had a bad word to say, and was always upbeat. I will miss his great sense of humor, but most of all his friendship. My condolences to Terri, and all of Tom’s family and friends.

Tom was a special guy. I am thankful he was a loyal supporter of all our Misericordia functions-Pig Roast, Candy Days, Dinner Dance...I will miss seeing him with my Dad & Uncles and listening to their stories/jokes. Tom had a great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with the Minnick Family & Terri's Family.
