U.S. Army Veteran. Thomas Francis Mitchell passed away peacefully the morning of April 27, 2021. Tom was born December 7, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Francis and Beatrice (nee Hernon) Mitchell. Tom was a Local 597 Pipefitter for more than 50 years. Tom married the love of his life Margaret M. (nee Frank) on November 26, 1966. Tom and Marge enjoyed 54 years together, residing in Orland Park and also enjoying their summers in Michigan on Big Crooked Lake. Loving father of John (Cindy Steagerman), Brian (Anita Bellone), Karen (Ferguson), Jimmy (Jen Ramocki), and Mark (Nicole Beranek). Devoted grandfather to nine and cherished uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Beloved brother and brother-in-law. Dear friend to many. Tom will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Friday 3:00 p.m. until time of Service 8:00 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL. Interment private. Due to Covid, masks are required and no loitering is preferred.
