THOMAS A. NEISES

Thomas A. Neises, 79, of Naples, FL, ended his journey here on July 19, 2011. Formerly of Chicago, IL, he had been a Naples resident for the last 12 years. He was born November 23, 1931, in Crown Point, IN, the son of George Henry, and Florence Eleanor, née Bieker, Neises. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Tom had a 40 year career with Sears, and retired in 1992 as Executive Director of Credit for the Eastern Territory. Tom loved sports, enjoyed playing golf, and was a member of Collier's Reserve Country Club. He was a collector of wine. His greatest love was the beauty of nature. He raised orchids, enjoyed and found working in his garden the greatest of relaxations, and found great beauty in having fresh flowers in his home. Mr. Neises is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margaret, née Sheehan, Neises; his beloved children, Kathleen, Ann and Tom; his six cherished grandchildren; and devoted sister, Jane Lehman, of St. Louis, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Old St. Patrick's Church in Downtown Chicago, followed by Military Honors. A celebration of his life will follow at 12 Noon, at 312 Chicago restaurant. Burial services will be private.
