Thomas Patrick Riley of Glenview, IL , passed away Saturday June 5th at the age of 54, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 30 years to Mary (nee Heiman), and loving father of Stephanie (Alex) Riley-Eriksson, Allison "Alli" and Jonathon "Jack". Brother to Laura (Wink) Bacon and Mary Beth (Patrick) Driscoll. Son of Thomas James Riley and the late Mary Lee Riley (nee Gross). Brother-in-law to Ann Marie (Todd) Nordby, Mark (Dawn) Heiman and Jill Paul. Uncle to Aiden and Reagan Paul; Connor, Becca and Nathan Heiman; Taylor and Eliyah Bacon; and Maura and Paddy Driscoll. Tom was born at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL on July 19, 1966, and grew up in Wilmette, IL. He graduated from St. Francis Xavier Elementary School, Loyola Academy High School, and Marquette University where he accumulated many life-long, dear friends. Tom deeply loved his family, and was an excellent husband, father, son and friend. Tom was many things: a storyteller, entrepreneur, mentor and confidante. His incredible compassion and creativity touched many lives, from his circle of friends to his work in palliative care. Through his experience as his Mom's caregiver and battling his own diagnosis, Tom became the voice for many as the co-founder and creative force of TapCloud. He will truly be missed by all. Celebration of Life will be held on June 19, 2021 at the Quarry in Crystal Lake, IL, 5517 Northwest Highway, IL 60014 from 3–7 pm. To the Riley Family, My sincere condolences. I remember Tom with a wide smile and open heart. We worked together at Rush Prudential Health Plans and thereafter, as people who work in healthcare tend to do, we crossed paths numerous times over the following years. It always was fun to catch up. Since he first shared in a chance encounter his inspiration for and news of his Tap Cloud venture, I enjoyed reading about its services and growth. You all must be so proud and now so saddened. Bright, fun, kind, compassionate, innovative...his gifts were many. His legacy noteworthy. May you receive all you require for your comfort and peace in the days and months ahead. With regards,

I had the privilege of spending a weekend with Tom in Orlando, listening to his vision for TapCloud as we talked about the vision of Global Pain Initiative and what could be accomplished together. What an insightful, visionary, and caring human being. My condolences to Tom´s family in this trying time. Rest assured that God knows Tom and his heart - a truly caring and compassionate man. It was my distinct privilege of knowing him! All of our prayers are surrounding, you, his family!!

So sad to hear of Tom´s passing. Our family lived down the block from Tom´s family on 9th Street in Wilmette. So many fond memories of life celebrations with the Rileys. All the families enjoyed getting together and Tom from a very early age was a great person. Our prayers and condolences go out to your family and all those Tom touched throughout his life. Best, Tom Acton
