Thinking of Tom now beyond sadness of his passing puts a real smile on my face. He and Dick Watson connected at Lake Forest College. Tom was special and for sure loved the life he lived. Am so very sorry.
Blessings to the Yore family.

I played for Coach Yore on his first team at Weber and was lucky enough to have him for History. I enjoyed learning from him in both areas and always remember how much fun he was to be around. Condolences to his family and friends.

Condolences to the Yore family. He was my history teacher at Weber, but everyone called him Coach Yore. He was a great teacher, and I still remember his class, more than 40 years later.

Condolences on the passing of Coach Yore. I still fondly remember how he would introduce a misbehaving student into "locker 103" with a loud crash. The entire class got a big kick out of it since we knew Coach was doing it in good fun and to entertain us all. He truly was one of a kind. Godspeed Coach.

I WENT TO COLLEGE AT LFC AND HUNG AROUND WITH TY AND TOM LEWIS. TONS OF FANTASTIC MEMORIES AND STORIES. WE USED TO PERFORM THE 2000 YEAR OLD MAN FOR DRINKS, AS WE DID NOT HAVE ANY MONEY. I WAS KARL REINER AND TOP CAT WAS MEL BROOKS. MY HEART GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY, TOM, JR, KYLE AND ANNIE FANNY. I AM TRULY SORRY FOR OUR TERRIBLE LOSS.

Having known Tommy "Top Cat" Yore for decades I offer my sincere condolences to his children and family. He was one of the most enjoyable human beings to be around, always with a smile and a laugh. I will miss him!

"Organization is the key to success " he would always say that especially to our U.S history class at Larkin. That was always the thing that I remember the most. He was a great teacher. He brought the subject to life for me and I loved him for it. Besides my mom, he is probably the reason I am a History teacher today and I hear myself saying "Organization is the key to success " to my students and to my self (cause my desk is a hot mess ). My heartfelt condolences go out to the Yore family who had lost a great man.To the students, teachers, and other faculty members that knew him,He touched our lives and the lives of many others that he didn't know.

I'm sorry to hear about his passing. We were just talking about Mr. Yore teaching at Larkin in 1995. Great, fun memories of him and he made history fun. I always remembered his love for plaid pants.

When I was a student at Carmel HS in Mundelein (class of 1970) I had a history teacher named Tom Yore who was also a coach (for what sport I don't remember) and everyone called him Coach Yore. I believe that this is the same man even though Carmel wasn't mentioned in his obituary. I remember him as a great guy who made one of my least favorite subjects a lot more interesting. Please accept my condolences on your loss. May he rest in peace.
