Todd Fandell

Todd E. Fandell, 79, of Wilmette died Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Evanston Hospital. The cause was complications from multiple myeloma. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave., Wilmette. Burial will be private. Todd was a husband, father, grandfather, and a friend. His career was spent in journalism. His friends will remember him as an avid fan of news analysis and debate and of various outdoor sports and hobbies tied to Chicago, including running, gardening and sailing, as well as his dedication to the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and Northwestern Wildcats. Todd is survived by his wife Elaine; daughter Sarah (Rogerio); son Kenneth (Christy); grandchildren Javier, Isabel, Tiago and Lake; brother Richard; sister Mary Ellen Mueller (Stephen) and nephews Matt, Mike and Mark Mueller.
