Tresa Elizabeth Neurohr (nee Smider), 51, dancer and senior data analyst, of Chicago's West Ridge neighborhood, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2021. Born in Evanston, Tresa attended New Trier High School until her career as a semi-professional ballerina took her to Atlanta, where she studied dance intensively and graduated from The Paideia School. She danced with the Louisville Ballet and Gus Giordano, before changing gears to earning her B.S. in Political Science from the University of Chicago and her M.S. in Global Political Economy from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. Beloved wife of 22 years to Avram "Avi" Jonathan Neurohr, devoted mother of Eliana "Ella" Josephine Neurohr and Langston "Lang" Edward Neurohr, daughter of Wilma Eldridge Smider and the late Emil Joseph Smider, sister of Susie Braman and Nancy (Denise King) Smider, aunt and friend of many. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 8, from 1-4 pm, at 333 N. Ogden Ave, Chicago (Blue Plate Catering, Larkin Room). Eulogy service begins at 1:30 pm.
