Vito Joseph Sulli 90 of Elmhurst. Beloved Husband of Anne nee Boscia. Loving Father of Susan (Jack) Washam and Steve Sulli. Dear Grandfather of Kathryn Washam. Dear Brother in law of Orest (Diane) Boscia and Helen (the late Robert) Maganini. Fond uncle of many. Joe Sulli lived a full and beautiful life. He served in the Marines from 1942 to 1945 in the South Pacific. Afterwards he started working with Lifschultz Fast Freight (who he worked for until his retirement in 1990) and attended Northwestern University at night majoring in Transportation. He married his childhood sweetheart,Anne, in 1948 and they were married for 67 years. Throughout the years Joe was an avid traveler having visited all seven continents. Joe's love of trains, reading, and travelling was only surpassed by his love of family. Visitation Sunday July 26, 2015 3-8 p.m. at Steuerle Funeral Home 350 S. Ardmore Ave. Villa Park Il. Uncle Vito, you "adopted" me with open arms and an open mind. You were always supportive and always had a smile and joke to share. Though we did not have time for your honor flight in our world, we thank you for your service to this country. Have a safe journey on the ultimate honor flight... we will meet again.
