My heart goes out to all the members of the Connolly family ... RIP to Billy ... So many fond memories of growing up in Rogers Park across the alley from the Connolly, McDonald, Cleary and Burns families, along with the Elwards across the street on Chase ... Sports in the alley or the church parking lot, kick the can, Touhy Beach, Sam Leone summer camps ... When Billy was in 6th grade and I was in 4th he picked me 1st for our St. Jerome intramural basketball league and we went undefeated ... Billy could play. We reconnected down at the Chicago Board of Trade ... Billy had a beautiful heart. I will have Billy and all of the Connollys in my prayers in a very special way and look forward to seeing the Connolly team on August 28.
