William Dalton Obituary

William Edward Dalton Sr., regional owner for Fantastic Sams, died Monday unexpectedly at Tulane Medical Center. He was 65. Mr. Dalton was born in Chicago and lived in Algiers for 12 years and then Diamondhead, MS for the past 18 years. He was educated at Fenwick High School in Chicago, IL and Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. Mr. Dalton attended Mass at Annunciation Church in the Diamondhead area. Survivors include his wife, Constance Altice Dalton; his daughters, Patricia Dalton and Jean Thornton and his son, William E. Dalton Jr.; his sister Barbara Riley and his brother, Jake Dalton; and his three grandchildren Jim, Tommy and Sean Thornton; son of the late Roma McDougall and Will C. Dalton. A Mass will be said on Saturday, June 1, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc., 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 6 until 10 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until funeral time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Dominican Missions in Nigeria, run by Father Ed Riley, a long time friend of Bill's. Checks should be made out to ''Dominican Missions''. The memo should read ''donation-Father Ed Riley in Nigeria''. Mail checks to Dominican Missions, 7200 W. Division, River Forest, IL 60305.
