It is so hard to lose friends and so hard to lose trustworthy people you rely upon. Bill Maniscalco was both. I first met Bill when his son by the same name moved next door to me. As I got to know Bill and his wife Josie Bill and I used to kid each other... hello old man... who are you calling old man? You are as old as I am. No I am not. Etc. It was just friendly banter. As we go to know each other better a friendship developed further. He would tell me stories of how he grew up in Chicago and the tough characters he had to deal with. After a while I brought Bill on board as a Trustee of our sanitary district and Josie became my daughter´s sponsor for her Confirmation at Saint Collette RC School. Bill became my trusted partner as a Trustee and he will be sorely missed; but more than that he will be missed as a friend.
Bill was a good guy, and that is just about the highest compliment anyone can receive.

I have many fond memories of being at their loving home. They were the perfect couple and were so in love. I remember Josie singing the song all of the time. "Won´t you marry me Bill". May he Rest In Peace and now look down on his family and see all of the love.

I am very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill and I worked together at Schaumburg Golf Course. We became friends and golfed together often. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to the entire Maniscalco family.
