I remember when your family moved to Brassie in the former Chirallo house. I lived at 1140 Braeburn.I was your paperboy for years delivering the Star and the Tribune. One time Joe, myself and some other neighborhood kids were playing basketball at Martin's tennis court ( there is a McMansion there now) and somebody rolled their ankle pretty bad. You were on your way to Curtain Call at IJP but you made the time and effort to look at the minor injury. Then you contacted the parents just to let them know it was a sprain not a break. Condolences to the Marshall family.

When I went to Mass at St. Andrews today I found out that Dr. Marshall had passed away. I was sad to hear that. I met Dr. Marshall several years ago when I had his larger home in Carillon listed and he bought his smaller home in Carillon. It was such an emotional time for him since it was so recent that his wife had passed. He was so happy to get the move done. I will always remember him for his kindness. My condolences to his family.

My sincere sympathy for your great loss. We have lost a pillar of South Shore and a great friend to Betty and Bill Brooks. Carol, Bill, Bob and Helen will always hold him close. He was a friend to us all, at all times.
Dr, Marshall did literally save my life 50 years ago. We love you

Mary Lenore and Gerry, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire Marshall clan. It always amazed me when Doc Bill walked in the door after a long day. Billy has Joey pinned in a full Nelson. Gerry is pacing up and down the wood floor in the family room. Mary L is upstairs with IJP pals, Mrs . M is between the kitchen and the family room trying to get Billyto stop whomping on Joey and Spooky is doing 100mph loops around it all. Doc Bills 71 Monte Carlo pulls up the drive and he walks in the side door. No words are needed. Mary L comes softly down the stairs. Gerry quits heavy footing across the wood floor. Mrs. Ms shoulders relax, Billy quits pounding on Joey and Spooky becomes a model of dog obedience. Peace and Harmony have been restored. Doc Bill was a wonderful human being and his sense of humor was unmatched. A great guy who positively impacted so many of us but and a set a great example for so many of us young men. Thank you Doc Bill! The Hodgman Family.

Mary L & Gerry: I told my sister, Pam, that Bill has been on my mind so often lately! Then I heard he was ill and I wanted to send him one of those funny "hi, how are you?" cards. But then he left us. I have to tell you that not only your dad, but, for whatever reason South Shore has been often creeping into my thoughts. And, you know, the Marshall family were just the pillars of South Shore! Your dad and all of your family were huge parts of our (the Watson's) lives. And many, many fond memories remain in my heart. My heart is so sad for your great loss but he lived a wonderful life and I know he had a part in many, many lives - family, friends as well as patients! I pray for peace for you and may the wonderful memories of your dad remain forever in your hearts! God Bless! Hugs to you....Nancy (Watson) Mallian
