Mr. Simon and wife Fran were always friendly and nice to know. And the hard work by Mr. Simon (and wife Fran) started the current business Route 12 Rental about 60 years ago, which is still run by the Simon family.

Our family has known the Simon families since 1941 when we lived on Rand Rd. Bill and Fran have been wonderful friends all these years. We love you all.

Bill is and was a great friend. I remember my mom and dad with Bill and Fran walking down to the new Pool Ford Showroom to go square dancing. Plus when I rented the house across Rand Road that his father built, he helped me out. I just got out of the Army and got married and did not have a clue how to take care of the house and well. But Bill Helped. Fran and Jane and myself always keep in touch thru the e-mail. He was and is Great. Marty

Bill Simon Sr. was known to my kids as Grandpa! He was such a positive influence on their lives, right up until his last day with us and the influence will last their lifetimes. Grandpa was pure love, acceptance, and lots if fun! He will be missed, for sure, but will remain in all of our hearts. Wonderful memories from a dear sweet man.

I have the utmost respect for William G. Simon, my grandfather. I was known as Moon to him. He taught me how to respect and interact with others. He gave me my first pocket knife for a penny. He taught me how to skip stones on Lake Superior. He let me drive his 1975 Plymouth Duster before I knew how to drive. He taught me to whittle and to whistle. I acquired a taste for cheese "burpers" (puffs) and cheese curds thanks to him and hard salami sandwiches on buttered bread - the finer things in life! I could go on and on. Needless to say, I have countless memories of my grandfather which I will forever cherish!

I will always treasure the time when Uncle Bill, Grandpa Simon, Bill Jr. and I spent a week fishing in Ironwood when Bill and I were kids. I can't help but smile each time I think of him and all that he did for everyone. We will truely miss him.
Our heart felt sympathy and prayers are with you all. The Moore Family.
