Wade Stegall Jr.

1945 - 2017

Wade Evans Stegall, Jr. age 72, at last his trophies he laid down, at NMMC Hospice Unit on the evening of June 19, 2017. He was born to Wade Stegall, Sr., and Stacia Stegall in Troy, MS.

Wade was a truck driver, a cattleman, a brick layer and co-owner of C & S Timber Products in Randolph, MS, and one heck of a provider for his family. To some he was known as "Stick" and to others as "Bub".

He enjoyed cruising big timber, spending time with his family, Santa Gertrudis cattle and 4-H. All of this fell immediately behind his love of God, he was a charter member and Deacon at Lee Memorial Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Pat Stegall. He leaves behind a massive void in his family and his wife, Margaret Akers Stegall, wed one month shy of 52 years. Also his three children, Wade "Trai" Stegall, Matthew Stegall (Randi), Audra Chism and one son-in-love, Mark Chism, two inherited daughters, Amye James (Paul) and Abbye Putt (Tim), his "Coach" son, Jeremy Allison and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, not to mention quite a few 4-H kids and "Gert" families.

Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Lee Memorial Baptist Church with Rodney Akers presenting the eulogy and Bro. Easton Smith and Bro. Shane Dunaway officiating; burial will follow in the Lee Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 PM until at Lee Memorial Baptist Church, 201 Lana Street, Pontotoc, MS.

Pallbearers will be close family, friends and his "sawyers".

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Pontotoc County 4-H & Livestock Club, 402 C. J. Hardin, Jr. Drive, Pontotoc, MS 38863.
