To my Father: Lt Col Alfred Leslie Moser USAF Ret.
This plane is so old. Payload beyond what she can handle
Not loaded with the ordnance of war, no, it carries the joys and disappointments, tender moments, loves, heartbreaks, birth and deaths, fears and raucous laughter of 95 years of life.
This pilot is worn out. Eyes fogged, hearing shot to hell, body so tired I can no longer stand.
With determined grimace and childish grim, I give her all she's got one last time
Tethers of earthly connections fall away and I am free
The comforting drum of my engines, this once strong body, I need neither
I look behind me; I love all I see
My destination pinpointed on the eternal horizon
I clearly hear the angel's crystalline voices
They sing to me. Welcoming this old flyer home
Thank you life, I have lived every last bit of mine
I salute you

A memorial service will be held at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.

I had the pleasure of working with al, at esplanade furniture and on several jobs at his home and properties around chico. Nobody new more jokes than al. He will be missed! What an amazing Man!!!!
