Beverly Powers Memoriam

Beverly Powers, a nurse who most recently worked in long-term care facilities in Paradise, once dressed up as Nurse Ratched for Halloween.

And while she was responsible for handing out medication to her patients - and wore a white nurse's gown that day - her similarity to the famously cold caregiver of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" stopped there.

I am saddened by the tragic loss of Beverly. We were both in the Class of 1972. She was very kind and always approachable. I remember her most as the Honored Queen of our Jobs Daughters. Sincerely.

Beverly was an amazing person, an inspiring nurse, and a fearsom friend. I had the pleasure of not only knowing her but to work with her. You are missed but we will carry your your torch. We will spread the light and love that you shared with us! Jamielynn

I worked with Beverly in Ukiah Ca. I loved her goofy and fun loving personality. We became close as we both had a little deviousness to us. We had a couple of co-workers that were not exactly nice so Beverly and I would get together and cheer each other up if we were having a particular sucky day. I spoke with her a few times after she had moved to Paradise each time vowing to come for a visit, she wanted me to see why she had fallen in love with Paradise. Time went by and although I had every intention of visiting her life gets in the way and you find yourself putting off the visit thinking you have all the time in the world. I wish more than ever that I would have just went to see her. I know where ever she is she is putting a smile on somebody's face. RIP Beverly you will be missed like crazy. Luv Ya
