DAVID LEE CASTLEMAN

David Lee Castleman died December 7th, 2018. He was born to John and Ethel Castleman July 11, 1949 in Vancouver, Canada. David grew up in Marin County in California and worked at his family's lumberyard from his early years until he retired. Upon retirement, he moved to Dayton, Washington where he lived for several years before returning to Chico, California where he had attended college in the 60's. David was an avid reader and writer. Many of his poems and stories had been published throughout his lifetime. David's family members include Louise and Jim in Carpinteria, Alison and Ella in Santa Barbara, Jonathan in Sacramento, and Brian, Nancy and Terrence in Chico. In honor of Dave's appreciation and love of animals, a donation to a favorite animal welfare fund would be appreciated.

RIP, Dave. It's been 5 years since your passing but you're never forgotten. Nothing but fond memories of our friendship and your family.

I was devastated when I found Dave's obituary.
I was his roommate for the 2 years I spent at Chico State in late 60's. I lost touch with him after I graduated in 70 but always wondered what happened to him after college.
If anyone could contact me to share a little more about my old college friend I would love it.

David, I'm remembering you, your mom & dad on the anniversary of your passing. Grateful always for the friendship & kindness you & your family gave me over the years. So many happy memories but sadness to think you're not here now. Hope you're in a happy place, David.

While recently trying to contact David, I was crestfallen to learn he had died. Yes, I have my memories of many happy times spent with David & his family, but it really saddens me that I won't have a chance to tell David how much I cared for him & his family. Louise & Nancy, if you see this, please contact me at [email protected]. RIP, David.
