Donna Harlin Obituary

DONNA MARIE HARLIN Donna Marie Harlin was born to Harvey and Grace Gundry of Berkeley, California, February 19, 1943. She fell asleep in death in Oroville, CA, December 31, 2014. Donna had the joy and security of living in the same Berkeley neighbor-hood all of her child-hood. She enjoyed school, dances, ice skating and Sunday family dinners. In 1971 she and her family moved to Gridley California. It was then that she was forced to learn to drive in her late 20's. Adjusting to country life she truly embraced. She developed a love of cooking, baking and gardening. It was there in Gridley that she seriously took on feeding her spiritual needs and came to know her Creator Jehovah. She made her dedication on December 11, 1976. Donna worked many years from home, so as to be with her children. Mainly caring for others. It was hard work but she took on that care as if they were her own family. Many deep ties were built over those years. As her children got older she went back to work secularly for 26 years with the County of Butte. Donna will be greatly missed by all those who called her a friend or a sister, but especially by her family. Known as "Mom" to many, but especially to her child-ren: Raeshell Forrester, David Harlin and Eileen Moore. "Grandma" to grandchildren: Samantha Moore, Jessica Moore, Nicole Moore, Rebekah Chang, Krista Penman, and Kyle Forrester. And affectionately known as "GG" to 8 great grand-children. Memorial services will be held at 1:15 p.m., Saturday January 10, 2015, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7490 Gene Lane, Palermo, CA 95968. We would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Shadowbrook Health-care, for the compassion-ate care and kindness shown to our mother Donna Harlin.
