Dorothy Shepherd Obituary
A family graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2007, at the Paradise Cemetery, in Paradise for Dorothy E. Shepherd, 84 of Corning, Calif. Dorothy passed away May 11, 2007, in Chico after a short illness. She was born Feb. 14, 1923, in Durham, Calif.
Dorothy attended Durham Schools. She married Wayman Shepherd. Dorothy worked as a Doctor's nurse in Red Bluff for 10 years. She volunteered for Chico Community Hospital. Her memberships include the Eagles Lodge, Elks Lodge and the Women's Bowling Assn.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayman Shepherd of Corning; daughter, Anne McIntosh of Marietta, Ga., and daughter, Kara Lockie of Corning, Calif.; a granddaughter, Wendy Olson of Yuba City, Calif.; a grandson, Christopher McIntosh of Sand Springs, Okla., as well as three great-grandsons.
Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice in care of Bidwell Chapel in Chico. 530-342-4291

Dorothy was a friend of my mother, Bette Taylor when she was in Durham, CA during the 50's. Although I don't remember her personally, I kmow my mother would have.
Our sympathies to the family of Dorothy.
