Lloyd Pace Obituary

Lloyd Dwayne Pace, 59, died on May 19, 2005 at his home in Orland. He was born on May 16, 1946 in Portland, Ore.

He grew up in Delhi, Calif. and served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Conflict from 1963-1969. He married Emma McDonald on July 24, 1981. He was employed by Leprino Foods (Tracy and Lemoore facilities) as a Whey Department Supervisor.

He was an animal lover and his passions in life were NASCAR, fishing, hunting, treasure hunting and gold panning in Alaska. He enjoyed music, ham radio and spending time with family and friends. He participated in the Relay For Life, was an American Cancer Society organizer, Leukemia Foundation sponsor and Veterans sponsor.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ford; father, Thomas Pace and nephew, Jason Pace.

He is survived by his wife, Emma L. Pace of Orland; mother, Louise Kilgore of Orland; sons, Brian and Jennifer Pace-DiMattio of San Diego and David and Stacy Pace-DiMattio of Washington, D.C.; brother, Marvin Pace of Corning, Jim Pace of San Marcos, Floyd Pace of Orland, Edgar Pace of Corning, Lyle Ike of California and Butch Cope of Manteca, Calif.; sisters, LaMona Brady of Orland, Lynn Ike of Escondido, Calif., Lea Ike of Juneau, Alaska and Brenda Kelly of Whitmore, Calif.; grandchildren, Collin, Kayleigh, Kylie and Cameron Pace-DiMattio, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will held from 2-3 p.m., Tuesday, at the Victory in Christ Church, 210 E. Walker, Orland. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Sorensen's Affordable Mortuary, (530) 893-4292.
