Chopper was such an inspirational man and a character... so funny in his own way. He was my first Fire Captain at Fawn Lodge and my favorite after 4 years in CDF. He hated my cooking but helped turn a boy into a man in those mountains. He was a true man among men. God speed, Chop

Loren and my father, Don, knew each other in CDF and enjoyed great times hunting and packing into the Trinity Alps wilderness in the late 80s - 90s. Loren always had a good story to tell and I loved his humor. Our hunting trips seemed to turn into simple shooting matches and then we would discuss the merits of delicious MREs :) while he is greatly missed, I'm glad his suffering is over.

Tough as nails. A great firefighter. Helpful to all. And a beloved brother Master Mason who will be sorely missed.
