Ray Brousseau Obituary

RAY BROUSSEAU He was my hero, my love, my Patriarch, my friend & the father of my children. He will be greatly missed. Raymond Leo Brousseau, 80 years of age passed away July 12, 2015, with his son at his side. He fought a courageous battle with Parkinson. Ray was born Dec. 29, 1934 to Leo and Cecile Brousseau Fitchburg, MA. After graduating from St. Bernards High School 1952 he joined the ARMY National Guard Infantry, making the Guard his career for 16 years. 2 years later he moved to CA. continuing his schooling at Univ. of CA (COL) & Infantry School Berkley CA earning his AA degree. Ray received many achievements and rewards. He began his career as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service where he worked for 42 years. While in the Guard Ray was commander of Company A Battalion 184th Infantry 49 Brigade CA, ARMY National Guard of Chico CA. Ray received an Honorable Discharge in 1971. He was a devoted husband to Marlene of 52 years. Loving father to David (Karen), Brian (Amber), and Steve (Michele); one daughter Sherri; 14 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and 1 great grandson. Youngest brother to Armand (Bonnie), Roland (Gail); and sister Gloria (Frank). Many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded by his parents, and two nephews Wayne Brousseau and Jeff Montolio. Memorial Contributions can be made in his honor to the Parkinson Foundation in care of Newton-Bracewell Funeral Homes. Memorial Services for Ray will be held at First Baptist Church, August 15, 2015 from 11:00 to 2:30, Rev. Ted Sandberg officiating. Please share thoughts and memories of Ray online at nbcfh.com.
