William Huyck Obituary
Obituaries are not the best place to list the attributes of such a wonderful person to those who are left behind. He held many titles such as husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, papa and friend to countless others. While it is typical to list ones past experiences of employment and services it is far more important to simply address the impact that he had in the lives of those who knew him. While he did serve his country in Vietnam proudly, his service to this world did not stop there. Bill opened his home and his heart to countless people. He often sacrificed his own comforts to build and support those who needed him.
He will not only be missed by those who survive him, Lynette his wife, partner and friend of 22 years, Josh and Louie his children; his father Mel; brother Rick, James and Phyllis his life long friends and in-laws, Darryl a great friend, as well as his large extended family and friends in the Chico and San Diego area.
We will all remember his generosity as well as his great cooking. Bill, who loved to make others laugh, had a smile that was so large his eyes practically closed. There has never been, and there could never be a greater man, he will be remembered and his memory shared for generations to come.
If you would like to share in a celebration of his life and the things that he loved, please come to the East Avenue Community Church, 1184 East Ave., on Saturday Jan. 14 at 5 p.m. If you knew Bill then you will understand this is not a funeral, and the most appropriate attire would be very casual (or a Hawaiian shirt) and a great sense of humor. All are welcome.

OMG I thought this was gone, last time I tried it wouldn't come up. I miss you baby so very much. I know you can see how well everyone is doing and how much Teagen and Sarah have grown. Everyone still talks about you, your yard, bubbadog and how much they miss you. Wait till I tell them they can stop in and say hi. Many kisses and hugs.
