My dad, the late Jim Sands, really liked Art! He thought the world of him. They worked at the Pueblo Army Depot years ago together.

I wrote a memory about Art and didn't sign my name. Art would have laughed at me for that one. No doubt I deserve it . Sheeesh. But now I have a chance to once again to say that Art meant a lot to me. He was a great guy. Someone said if you didn't like Art there was something wrong with you, and I believe it. I am really saddened to hear bout Art. I worked with him at the Pueblo Army Depot in the electric shop. What a good man Art was. He was a mentor to me when I was a young man and he helped me in so many ways. He showed me how much he loved his family and how to support his sons in so many ways. Because of Art I learned how to keep my family first. We went duck hunting one time down on the Arkansas River and it was a great time. Didn't get anything but what we had so much fun with Arts great sense of humor. You boys had a great father!!!
