Charles Edward Kellough

CHILLICOTHE: Charles Edward Kellough, 83, of Chillicothe, died 9:14 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus unexpectedly.

He was born November 8, 1930, in Ross County, to the late Harvey E. Sr. and Faye L. Robinson Kellough. On August 2, 1950, he married the former Ruth M. Ward who died March 1, 2011.

Surviving are children, Chuck (Cathy) Kellough, Toby (Kathy) Kellough, Tom (Kim) Kellough, Kevin Kellough, Tracy (Mendy) Kellough and Marsh (Bill) Davis, all of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Cathy) Kellough, Howard (Debbie) Kellough and Barry (Tammy) Kellough, all of Chillicothe; sisters, Hazel (John) Berry, of Chillicothe and Estella Childres, of Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Leonard, Harvey E. Jr., Franklin D. and Clifford L. Kellough and a sister, Ruth Newland.

Charles attended Spud Run Church. He retired from the Chillicothe Telephone Company and had worked as a Special Deputy for the Ross County Sheriff for 47 years. Charles was a Harrison Township Volunteer Fireman and a Harrison Township Trustee for 13 years. He was also a former wrestler. Charles loved to help anyone in need.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Arlie Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Charleston Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
